6. How many linedudes® should I install on my boat?
Simply put, you should have the same number of linedudes® as you currently have

7. What is involved in the installation?
Installing linedudes® is very similar to installing a pop-up cleat on your boat. Our step-
-by-step installation guide and interactive DVD will lead you through a trouble free install.
For those purchasing from an authorized linedudes® installing dealer, you may choose
the convenience of a professional install at the dealer.

8. What are linedudes® made of?
Linedudes® are constructed entirely from marine grade 316L and 304 Stainless Steel.
Every model of linedudes® is suitable for fresh or salt water use. All critical components
are “oversized” for complete mooring confidence. As with any product exposed to
the harsh marine environment, regular rinsing and cleaning will help insure that
your linedudes® remain looking great for many years to come.

9. What happens to any moisture that is on the lines
when they retract inside the unit?
All C & P series linedudes® have a drain nipple at the bottom of the shroud that
surrounds the unit. When installing linedudes®, you will want to attach a piece of
¼” plastic tubing to the drain nipple and either lead that tube to your bilge or
overboard, ensuring that any moisture will be drained overboard.

10. How long should it take to install each unit?
Installation time averages 1/2 - 1 hours per unit. This time will increase
or decrease based on the accessibility and hull thickness.

11. How does hull thickness affect the installation?
Linedudes® are designed to be installed on boats with a hull thickness ranging from
0.75” – 1.25” thickness. For all boats fitting this thickness range, no customization
is needed. For boats with less than the minimum of 0.75” thickness, a backing plate
from marine plywood or “starboard” is all that is required to bring the hull up to
the appropriate thickness.
